Here are pictures of some of my fur babies through the years. They’ve kept me company as I operate my virtual business from my home in the Phoenix area.
I LOVE all things music and it has played a HUGE part in my life. I started my musical ‘career’ when I was only three years old. My mom would teach me the words to songs, and we would sing them together.
On my music journey, I went from singing to playing the piano, to the saxophone, and other instruments! The latest instrument that I have become proficient in is handbells. While I love ringing handbells in a group, I also have discovered that I am really good at solo ringing as well (which not everyone can do!). This talent also demonstrates my ability to think outside of the box and to have a unique problem-solving ability.

Growing up in small-town America is where I learned the benefits of a good, wholesome life. A few of those benefits are loyalty, helping others in need, honesty (because everyone knows what everyone else is doing in a small town!), and a good work ethic. All of this translates well to my VA business.
Most of my career was spent as an Air Traffic Controller. Not many women venture into this industry, and I was the first woman – ever – that had been assigned to my new crew. However, I found that it enabled me to improve many talents that I use to this day! My ability to make decisions under pressure, to work under stress, and to pay attention to details has sharpened. These, as well, have served me well in my Executive Assistant VA business as well as life.
I also received a high security clearance from the federal government because of my dealings with top government officials and high-level diplomats visiting the country. I was working in Washington, D.C. during the September 11 attacks on our country. I am so proud of the job that the controllers did on that horrific day.
